SUMMARY:Outdoor Survival Camp for kids 5-11 yo
DESCRIPTION:This week we will explore what one needs to survive in the wild. We will learn how to build shelter\, filter water\, learn to identify edible and poisonous plants\, read animal tracks\, build a fire with no matches or lighter and cook meals on the fire (subject to fire ban). We will also learn basics of orientation\, map reading and how to use a compass. The culmination of this camp will be a hike to the local park (subject to instructor approval).

Children will have a chance to meet and pet our farm animals and get their hands dirty in the garden. Grown-ups will be able to meet teachers and learn about our preschool program and summer camps. We also invite a photographer who will take pictures of play and we will share these pictures with you after event. Please\, wear a weather appropriate clothes and closed toed shoes\, and come prepared for the morning full of fun and play! P.S. We are not requiring masks at this time. If you or your child has any symptoms of sickness we kindly ask you to stay home and we will gladly offer a private tour for you later!
